The Chevron Business Support Center located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the Business Analyst position. Successful candidates will join the Procurement Shared Services Center, which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 700 employees that delivers business services and solutions across the globe since 2006.

 

Candidate will be required to regularly interact with the Global Category Management Team. Must be capable of handling a diverse workload and multiple tasks with accuracy under minimal supervision. Responsible for conducting business and financial analysis including supplier, spend, market, and decision analyses. Analyzes supplier activities, market share changes and swings in business and prepare projections on how these may influence future supplier proposals or negotiations. Develop first cost and total cost models and other related assessments. Provides commodity-service expertise and support to Category Managers for sourcing, negotiations, and contracts. Develops or assists in the development of category plan documents, business cases, and other presentations with emphasis on clear presentation and interpretation of data gathered. Supports Procurement-Supply Chain Management teams through benchmarking, cost management, alternative sourcing, and supply chain management studies.

 

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Category Management Foundation

    • SharePoint maintenance, category specific updates and tools

    • Power BI, spend reporting and dashboards

    • Category planning reports, insights and analysis

    • Business case justification (general)

    • CMI and PIP reporting

 

  • Supply

    • PSL/Supplier health (financial analysis, safety, etc)

    • Market intelligence tracking and insights feeding category planning

    • Contract planning reporting

    • Sourcing process execution (set up to RFx and evaluation in GEP/Ariba)

    • Low value sourcing and negotiations (we’d question why the global category is doing this...may be more appropriate for a BU BA)

 

  • Commercial

    • Price assurance (benchmarking internally and externally)

    • Modeling, cost and total cost of ownership/optimization (Power Advocate and other)

    • Catalog QAQC

 

  • Supplier Performance

    • Quarterly supplier briefing (i.e. SLB one-pager) – context likely to come from CM/CS

    • ASR material preparation

    • Intelex Power User and KPI/Feedback reporting

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience performing BA core responsibilities: analytical work relating to spend, financial, business, supplier analysis, and/or analysis based on the Analytical Skills selection criteria.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or Accounting.

  • Advanced English level.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and visualize data using advanced Excel functions (including Pivot Tables, macros), PowerPoint, Power BI, Spotfire, and other Data Modeling tools.

  • Demonstrated expertise in analyzing situations/data with multiple outcomes, deriving insights and value drivers to inform good business decisions, and making recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives through verbal and written formats via technical reports and presentations, to wide audiences both internally and externally.

  • General business experiences with proven ability to understand economic cases/trends and link insights to Supply Chain Management business strategies and plans.

  • Ability to build and/or leverage decision analysis tools (strategy and consequence tables, economic modeling, lease vs. buy, etc.) to support efficient and effective decision making.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively communicate in a team setting.
