What you’ll Do

The DTP Specialist completes the DTP steps required in a localization project. Project tasks include evaluation, preparation, formatting, PDFing, delivery and back up of project files.

Main functions include:

• Evaluate and prepare project deliverables for translation following set quality standards

• Verification of source files and fonts

• Conversion of files into editable versions for engineering

• Check formatting and that there are no hidden text instances

• Place and resize localized screen dumps and art files

• Generate indexes and tables of contents

• Deliver DTPed PDF files, INDD, QUARK, JSON or FM

Tools

• Adobe: advanced

• Office: advanced 

• InDesign: basic

• Photoshop: basic

Requirements

Formal Education:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Social Communication, Translation or related fields

Skills

• Excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills (Portuguese is a plus)

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work

• Creative with an eye for good design

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills and technology savvy

• Demonstrates respect for and appreciation of different cultural perspectives and respects various perspectives based on geographic differences

Background

• 1‐4 years of graphic design and DTP experience

• Strong knowledge of Adobe Pro or OCR

• Experience working with InDesign or Illustrator

• Experience working in an international environment with remote workers

• Experience working in a fast paced working environment and under pressure
