Responsibilities:

• Writes English-language breaking news stories for our real-time news platform.
• Identifies and produces value-added analytical industry pieces illuminating key trends and works with editors to craft and sharpen those pieces.
• Have an ability to leverage in-house and external data and other graphics to deliver valuable insight to readers.
• Play a leading role in shaping daily content by developing fresh story ideas and delivering sharp, concise content.
• Collaborate with highly skilled reporters and data journalists from LFIG and other teams.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree (Journalism or related field preferred)
• Fluency in English and Spanish necessary. Portuguese is also recommended.
• Proven professional journalism experience, including English-language copy
• Impeccable writing skills
• At least two to three years of business journalism experience
• Exceptional reporting and feature-writing skills a must, with an ability to deliver sharp, concise content to daily and weekly deadlines
• Command of journalistic best practice (AP style, libel issues, etc.)
• An affinity for analyzing numbers, using in-house data intelligence, financial reports and other industry information.
• Knowledge of financial market & economic trend analysis
• Openness to editorial feedback
• Reporters should be able to work with internal data sets to assist with developing story ideas.
• Candidates will need to pass in-house writing test, prior to interviews with the team.
