Our client is a successful fintech start-up based in London. The client provides a software platform and an open API for the banking industry. The open API allows fintech enterprises to access banking services, create digital wallets, connect them, receive, send, and convert funds, launch cards, and administer loans. The range of services and geographical presence of the client is growing fast.

We are looking for a Node.js specialist who will join the team and create internal services and integrate the platform with external services.

We hire people not for a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or a paid “Idle”.

Responsibilities

• Participate in knowledge sharing and offer recommendations for improving the solution
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by back-end developers with server-side logic
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Help with the implementation of the back-end of the solution
• Technical assessment of new features and their incorporation into the solution
• Integration of data storage solutions

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js
• Experience with AWS Lambda
• Experience with React
• Experience with REST APIs
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming (OOP), object-oriented design (OOD), and design patterns
• Experience with databases (SQL and No-SQL)
• Good spoken English
