The Project Management Office Senior Supervisor – Global IT, will conduct portfolio and project management vision and supervisory activities for projects with high cost and risks. In this role, you will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, serving as liaison among project management and planning, project team and line management. You will provide strategic vision, reviewing the project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards.
  • Lead organizing project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and determine resource requirements.
  • Supervise monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing.
  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Other duties as assigned

PROJECT LEADERSHIP

  • Leads strategic vision to a team of project managers utilizing full knowledge of portfolio management and general business/technical acumen.
  • Guides periodic project reviews conducted by direct report project managers utilizing thorough knowledge of the project delivery process.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements project management best practices based on expert knowledge of project management.
  • Provides direct supervision, mentorship, coaching and development for a team of project managers.

PROJECT PLANNING

  • Coaches project managers in the definition of project objectives and scope utilizing expert knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
  • Coaches project managers in the development of the Integrated Project Plan for projects with up to high cost and risk.

PROJECT EXECUTION

  • Leads project managers in the execution of projects up to high cost and risk.
  • Leads project managers in usage of the project management framework to achieve project objectives of delivered on time, on budget and business results are realized for projects up to high cost and risk.

BUSINESS RESULTS

  • Accountable for ensuring that Project Sponsors and stakeholders receive routine status and active communication of issues and threats.
  • Confirms successful project implementations and benefit capture for all projects in the portfolio.
  • Confirms successful completion of all project phases and closure of all aspects of the project portfolio.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Responsible for the people management in area of responsibility including recruiting, retention, development and engagement of team.
  • Manages and provides coaching to direct reports, including coaching Cargill Guiding Principles.
  • Manages resources and creates plans for workforce needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • English Advanced Level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of supervisory experience

PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES

  • Participate in monitoring performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
  • Contribute to planning, monitoring and managing internal projects from initiation through completion.
