Our client is an American holding of travel industry brands. Their main field of work is selling package tours that include flight and hotel booking. They also provide additional services, such as transportation and excursions.

DataArt’s team is currently reengineering legacy systems (distributed clustering platforms), supporting them, aggregating and visualizing logos, selecting tools, monitoring, and developing features.

This project will give you the opportunity to work with a full-fledged production system that has various monitoring tools and a good clustering system.

We hire people not for a project but for the company. If the project (or your work on it) is over you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-cultural distributed team supporting and developing several applications in multiple languages (PHP, .NET, Android)
• Identify solutions to the proposed requirements
• Discuss with the client stakeholders
• Support the Project Manager running the team
• Resolve production support incidents as long as developing new functionalities
• Monitor team members performance
• Motivate the team members
• Collaborate with the Project Manager identifying and managing risks and issues

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in developing and designing software products for PHP 7.3
• Knowledge of popular frameworks (Yii 1.1 and 2, Symfony is a plus)
• Experience and desire to lead development in medium to large distributed teams
• Excellent understanding of SDLC and modern Agile development methodologies
• Experience working in both, monolithic and service-oriented, applications
• Experience developing Web applications
• Experience working with REST APIs
• Experience with CI/CD
• Practical expertise in operating and designing databases (MySQL 5.7)
• Experience working with Redis, Swagger
• Good communication and organizational skills, decision-making skills
• Good spoken and written English

Additional Competencies

• Experience in the Travel industry is a big plus
• Experience with multilingual applications (.NET 4.5, Android)
• Experience in ERP systems development projects
